A Happy Birthday Limerick for Literary Minded

Literary Minded’s First Zine

I met Angela Meyer at the Byron Bay Writers Festival in 2007. We were in the bookseller tent. I can’t quite remember if Ange was also waiting to have a book signed, but I was waiting to buy Gail Jones’ , ‘Dreams of Speaking’.  Angela and I chatted for a while and she gave me her card. I loved her enthusiasm and energy. I met Angela again at the Emerging Writers Festival in 2010 and later that year she was a guest at the Write around the Murray Festival in Albury. I went along to her workshop on blogging and a few weeks later with the information I needed set up my blog.  We also attended a zine workshop at the festival and I have her first zine. (Perhaps a collector’s item?)

Angela tweeted and Facebooked that she wanted links, questions etc. to celebrate today, but some lines popped into my head, so here is my Happy Birthday Limerick for Literary Minded.

A blogger named Angela Meyer
To the heights of her art did aspire.
Through her vids, posts and prose,
To great lengths she does go
To make us all Literary Minded!

Happy 5th Birthday and may your blog have many more xx
