    Hi Robyne,
I thought the shinning star on Q&A on Monday night was Benjamin Law. I’ve enjoyed his writing in the past but he’s also proving to be a fantastic speaker.
And I enjoyed the discussion on Porn in education and the need to start addressing it at home. This theme has featured on Q&A before but not from the education angle. Raised again was the concern that porn is often the first sexual experience teenagers have and unfortunately they come to believe what they see in porn is the norm. The porn discussion was far more important and has more consequences for our society than what the PM wears – unfortunately the porn predicament won’t get the airplay or media attention.
Enjoyed your column – always fun to read
    Cheers
    Jo

    • Hi Jo,
Thanks for reading. Yes, I agree about Ben and he is a very thoughtful speaker.
I too thought the discussion on porn in education was a very good one. I’m still trying to work out why the singer was there,
and as for having a musical number at end thed end………
I may have fed into the discussion about Julia Gillard’s clothes, but it was something
I couldn’t let rest. And I was just starting to warm to Germaine! Thanks so much for reading.
      Robyne 🙂
